The 2015 Cowbell Mathematics Competition Result (First Stage) has been posted on Promasidor’s website. Find below he summary of the result for Ogun State.
Junior Category: Entries for this year increased to 921 as against 827 last year. Number of students who scored 50% and above similarly increased to 92 as against 53 students last year. 12 year old Miss Fatunmbi Oluwafeyikemi of Scholars Universal School, Otta came out top with 91%, followed by Masters Abdulsalam Aminu (13 years) and Ige Temiloluwa (12 years) both of The Ambassadors College, Otta with 89% and 88% respectively.
Senior Category: 2014 Mathematics Olympiad winner, 14 year old Miss Ogbu Deborah of Scholars Universal School, Ota led the pack with 80%. He is followed by Masters Anyaegbunam Obinna (15 years) and Daniel Aguebor (14 years) both of The Ambassadors College, Otta held the second and third positions. Only 29 students of the 867 entries from Ogun State scored at least 50%.
Prize for this year’s state award (Junior and Senior Categories) is N25,000, N20,000 and N15,000 for the 1st,2nd and 3rd respectively. Mathematics Teachers of Winning Candidates (1st Prize) wins N15,000
Master Akintokun Adegboyega of Ota Total Academy, Ota in Ogun State was crowned the winner of the 2014 Cowbell Mathematics Competition (Senior Category).
