2008 Cowbell Mathematics Competition First Stage Results Out


Result of the just concluded first stage examination of the 2008 Cowbell National Secondary School Mathematics Competition (NASSMAC) have been released. The competition which has been on for 10 years, held the first stage examination on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 130 centers in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

All students who participated in the competition are expected to log on to, or visit either the Ministry of Education or Promasidor Offices to check their results.

At the state level, prizes include N15,000, N10,000 and N5,000 for the first, second and third winners respectively in both the Junior and senior categories, while a cash of N10,000 would be given to the Mathematics teacher of the first prize winners in each state for both Senior and Junior secondary school categories.

Arrangements are already in advanced stage to contact and reward 222 students that emerged as winners in the first, second and third positions in both the Junior and senior secondary school categories.

Only the first prize winners with the highest mark in both the Junior and senior categories from each state would be invited and sponsored to Lagos for the second and final stage examination from where the national winners will emerge.
