MDGs Provides Classrooms to Schools in Obantoko Community


The  Chairman, Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State, Mr Sulaiman Mukaram Adebayo has commended the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for its intervention in the primary education sector.

Adebayo  gave the commendation during the inauguration and handing-over of the eight-classroom storey building constructed by the MDGs at the Odeda Local Government Primary School, Obantoko, Ogun State.

The local government boss, according to a release signed by the council’s Director of Information, Mr Tope Oyekan, commended the MDGs for its efforts at complementing the efforts being made in the  education sector by the state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun across the local government areas in the state. While highlighting his achievements in the education sector, the council boss included the construction of blocks of classroom with offices at African Church Primary School, Jooda, Babapupa and Alagbagba; Nawarudeen Primary School, Asipa, Opeji and the rehabilitation of a block of six classrooms with office at Orile-Ilugun Comprehensive High School, Orile Ilugun.

The eight-classroom storey building, which was under the 2011 – CGS – LGA Track project was inaugurated by the State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Oluwande Muoyo, who handed it over to the local government chairman, following the signing of hand-over documents by relevant stakeholders.
