Ogun Takes Delivery Of 1,000 Computer Sets To Boost SchoolNet0
Determined to equip every secondary school in Ogun State with a benefiting computer laboratory, the Bureau of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has taken delivery of another 1000 set of computers.
The computers contained necessary accessories to make complete laboratory for the schools.
It will be recalled that 2 phases of 400 & 420 computers each had been received before distributed at 10 computer per school to 82 schools.
Speaking in an interview, the Consultant to the Governor on ICT, Mr. Folorunso Alli noted that it was the State Governor Otunba Gbenga Daniel insisted that every secondary and technical college in the State be fully equipped to enable students be computer literate at all levels.
He reaffirmed the commitment of Otunba Daniel to make the best use of ICT to better the lot of the generality of the people of Ogun State.
Also speaking the Coordinator of the school net programme, Mr. O. Akanni said 189 teachers had been trained in readiness for the computers, noting that the consignment would soon be distribute to another 100 schools.
He explained that 82 schools benefited in the first and second phase of the programme bringing the total of benefiting schools to 182 out of the 280 secondary schools spread across the State.
