Ogun Teacher Emerges Winner in ICT Contest


The Ogun State Government initiative to turn the state particularly schools into ICT village has started yielding fruits as one of the teacher in the State has emerged winner in Microsoft Innovative Teachers Award organised for teacher worldwide

The event which was organised by Microsoft in collaboration with SchoolNet took place in Abuja where Mr. Adeeko Olalekan from Remo Secondary School, Sagamu, emerged one of the best that would represent the country at the regional level in Ghana from May 25 – 30, 2008.

Reacting the achievement, the Ogun State Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Segun Awonusi described the performance as a dividend of Otunba Daniel Administration in the area of ICT, adding that it has done a lot in the area of ICT.

Prof. Awonusi said the present government has continued to train and retrain teacher in the State to make them ICT compliant, stressing that government would continue to do everything possible to ensure that all schools are computer literate.
