St Paul Anglican makes Channels National Kids Cup Quarter Final

Channels Kids Cup logoThe  fifth season of the annual Channels National Kids Cup kicked off Monday, 21stt May 2013, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere Lagos. 16 primary schools from 13 states have been drawn to play against each other. The teams have been divided into four groups, and only the top two finishers in each group will progress to the quarter finals of the competition.

Ogun state’s representative St Paul Anglican made it through to the knock out stages along with LGEA Primary School, Kaduna, Ogedegbe Primary School, Delta state, Holy Trinity from Lagos, Uwa Primary School, Edo state and Ago-Egba Lagos.

St. Paul Anglican joined Group A leaders LGEA Primary School from Kaduna to edge out Toyibat Lagos state and School Road Primary School from Abia in the group stage.

St.Paul Anglican school has been drawn to play Group B leaders, Local Authority, Osun in a quarter–finals fixture.

The annual tournament which is organised by Channels Television and supported by the Lagos State Football Association, the Delta State Government and Indomie Noodles will have its final played on Monday the 27th of May 2013.
